Using Libraries: OhioLINK

You guide now & after your graduate!

OhioLINK - Your access statewide in Ohio!

OhioLINK Libraries

In Ohio, OhioLINK, the Ohio Library and Information Network, is a consortium of over eighty academic libraries in the state, as well as the State Library of Ohio and some public libraries. Its members work together to provide Ohio students, faculty, and researchers with the information they need for teaching and research--books, ebooks, videos, databases, & more.

As an ODU student, you have access to these materials statewide! For books, videos, & other materials, search the OhioLINK Library Catalog; for articles visit our A-Z Databases, many of which are through our membership in OhioLINK..

And you have options after you graduate!

Each institution has its own library or set of libraries to serve its community. Information on OhioLINK Libraries throughout the state can be found on the OhioLINK Member Libraries page.

After Graduation

Typically, once you graduate from a college or university, you no longer have access to those databases from off campus.

State university libraries are open to the public for on-campus resources.

Private university libraries like ODU Library may offer similar options.

Summing Up:

  • You won't be able to request items through OhioLINK through ODU Library or access our online ebooks and databases off campus
  • You can come into ODU Library or any state university library in Ohio (or any other state) and use its ebooks & databases in the library
  • You can still have access to OhioLINK through the State Library of Ohio - more info on using the State Library...
