How to Link Directly to a Book, Journal, Ebook or Other Item Record in the ODU Library Catalog

Start in the Library Catalog:

  • Find the item you want to link to in the ODU Library Catalog
  • Right-click on Persistent link to this record
  • Copy the link by selecting any of the following, depending on the browser you are using:
    • "Copy link address" / "Copy link location" / "Copy shortcut"

Then log in to PantherLearn and select your course, and add in the link in your module:

  • Click on Content at the top of the page
  • Choose the module in which you wish to add the link
  • Click New then choose Create a Link
  • Paste the link in the box marked URL
  • Add the title of the Course Research Guide for your link
  • Click  Create

Linking to a Journal

If you would like your students to have a link to a specific journal in the ODU Library Catalog, follow the steps above.
