Options for Books & Ebooks

No matter where you are, you have access to ebooks through (a) our library catalog, (b)  the statewide OhioLINK library catalog, & (c) our ebooks databases.

If you are in the state of Ohio, you have access to our catalog and the statewide OhioLINK catalog for books in print too!

What if...?

Be sure to take a look at our "Tips & Tutorials"  on this page.
  • First, double-check to see if it's available through the OhioLINK Library Catalog if you are in the state of Ohio
  • You may be able to request an online PDF copy of a single chapter via Interlibrary Loan.
  • You may be able to request the entire book through Interlibrary Loan, but it must be picked up & returned when finished to Ohio Dominican University Library, located in Spangler Learning Center on the main campus (view campus map & parking) (processing can typically take 2-10 business days or longer)
  • You may need to find a university library near you if you need a scholarly book
    • Be sure to call first before visiting.
    • You'll need information on the following: Directions, Parking, Hours, Printing/Scanning, & Availability of the item you need
  • You'll want to know that a public library near you may have books on best practices & grammar books; an academic (university or college) library will tend to have books of scholarly research
