When you have successfully completed this module, you will be equipped to recognize fake news, begin using news databases & search engines, & understand some of the biases that exist in the news media. You will:

• Be aware of multiple methods to evaluate news articles in terms of quality, accuracy, & perspective
• Be familiar with issues of quality & authority in information sources
• Know where to go to select appropriate library databases & search engines for news
