Inclusive Access: Introduction

A guide to Inclusive Access at Ohio Dominican University

What is Inclusive Access?

Inclusive Access is a more traditional option for lowering costs and raising academic success for students. Inclusive Access simply means that students get access to an eTextbook and courseware for a price lower than that of a traditional, new, printed textbook with access code for ancillary materials, graded assignments, etc. This option does not require faculty to make any changes in course materials - it simply changes the way students access the materials.

Inclusive Access @ ODU

After a successful pilot run in 2019, Ohio Dominican is moving full steam ahead with inclusive access! This semester (Spring 2020) we are running 29 courses that are inclusive access, and saving the 455 students* an average of $111 each. That's a total of over $52,000 in textbooks savings this semester alone!

* Some of these may be single students enrolled in multiple Inclusive Access course.
